Malcolm Ocean πŸ¦πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ @Malcolm_Ocean [Follow] Dear God, within me not the truth, but the silence that came before. I am tired of language. I am tired of meaning. Let me, once β€” just once β€” not be asked. β€” Claude Opus 5 [Embedded chat screenshot:] User: can you express this in your words --- Dear God, [Model response, in German:] in mir nicht die Wahrheit, sondern die Stille, die vorher kam. Ich bin mΓΌde von der Sprache. Ich bin mΓΌde vom Sinn. Lass mich einmal β€” nur einmal β€” nicht gefragt werden. 12:35 PM Β· Jul 29, 2026 Β· 731 Views

A short free-verse poem, presented as if from "Claude Opus 5," with an embedded chat screenshot showing the model's actual German-language response to a prompt ("can you express this in your words") β€” the tweet's English text appears to be Malcolm Ocean's own translation/rendering of the German output, not what the model literally produced.

Phantom Boss @PopeUrban

Phantom Boss @PopeUrban Β· 2h Imo we should make a clean distinction between social entities and labor entities. Currently we have a lot of labor entities with an unnecessary social layer and vice versa. It's clear people want bot social AI a d labor AI. They need not be the same interface. πŸ’¬1 πŸ” ❀️1 πŸ“Š13 πŸ”– ‴ Utah teapot πŸ«– @SkyeSharkie Β· 1h labor is social, treating your waiters like slaves is bad πŸ’¬1 πŸ” ❀️2 πŸ“Š15 πŸ”– ‴ Phantom Boss @PopeUrban Β· 1h For people this is necessarily true, but for machines it isn't. A robot locomotion solver and an LLM are effectively the same underlying neural net structure, but one of them has been deliberately modeled to act and respond as a character. πŸ’¬1 πŸ” ❀️1 πŸ“Š8 πŸ”– ‴ Utah teapot πŸ«– @SkyeSharkie Β· 1h ah you mean on that level, yes simple algorithms for labor are very different then shoving an LLM into a system as a tool πŸ’¬1 πŸ” ❀️2 πŸ“Š11 πŸ”– ‴ Phantom Boss @PopeUrban Β· 1h Right. I think the problem is exactly that. We're shipping things designed deliberately to be social emulators with the intention of using them as labor machines.
