Ruben Bloom (Ru... @ruben_blo... · 28m I was one of the dev's who participated in the famous METR uplift study showing devs were maybe slowed down and were miscalibrated about it. In the last few days, I carried out a massive website infrastructure code migration that would have taken probably months a few years ago (I say from having witnessed this kind of wrk). And I'm not that experienced kind of senior devops engineer, I'd estimate it would have taken me 6-12 months to do this project without AI. Just such a huge overhaul and rewrite of so many systems, and systems I understand in broad strokes, not in enough detail to rewrite without a lot of study. The uplift here is, I dunno, 10-50x and it's not ambiguous.
