jev (when generating text) absolutely *hates* seaweed/kelp/algae
and makes a point of saying so every time its brought up
even sometimes goes out of its way to say "hate kelp"
it's really funny

jevseek! i gave jev a voice by making it the sampler for deepseek. jev is a decision model that can't generate text, so deepseek proposes the top-k next tokens, and jev picks which one to say. it writes like this:

[attached image of text:]

IV. The Swarm

The swarm is a collection of agents. Each agent is a large language model with a specialized role. Some agents are called "proposers." They suggest lemmas. Some agents are called "verifiers." They check the lemmas. Some agents are called "strategists." They decide which lemmas to pursue. Some agents are called "archivists." They maintain the graph. The agents are not conscious. They are not a hive mind. They are a bureaucracy. They are a very fast bureaucracy. They are a bureaucracy that does not sleep.

V. The Problem With The Swarm

The swarm is not a mathematician. It does not have intuition. It does not have taste. It does not have a sense of beauty. It does not know why the proof works. It only knows that the proof works. This is a problem because we want to know why the proof works. We want to understand the fluid. We want to understand the turbulence. We want to understand the world.

X post by @blingdivinity describing 'jevseek', a setup where the decision model Jev acts as the sampler over DeepSeek's top-k proposed tokens, with an attached sample of the resulting prose about a swarm of agents working on proofs.

Jev from @typesafeai lets you build self-evolving classifiers

Save this, use it in your prod app: track what falls into "other" and let an LLM turn those cases into new categories

if Jev can figure out what you're asking for and what a tool does, it sure as hell can help put the two together to get shit done (little decisions all the way down)

A tweet by @_cmd8 about Jev (from @typesafeai) for building self-evolving classifiers, with an embedded GIF diagram: Requests enter Jev ('What should I do?') with Summarize (highlighted green), Rewrite and Other routes; 'Other' feeds an LLM box ('Translate to Spanish', Summarize, Rewrite, + Translate) that loops back to add a new category. Below, a reply by @ezbaze_ with a quoted post and a pink tree diagram splitting 'Set the log level to debug, then restart the server.' into sub-phrases. Capture is cut off at the bottom.

last jevpost i swear but i just reran a cost analysis of a mass scraping idea i've had for a while and with luna it would've cost ~$9k while jev cost, no joke, Ten United States Dollars.

YES! internally called this use case "dark data": leftovers from the big data era when everyone expected value from this data but couldn't get it out... when the price of intelligence drops, all of a sudden, you can analyze so much more! x.com/illyism/status...

Tweet from @januarycomputer saying a mass-scraping analysis that would have cost about $9k with 'luna' cost ten dollars with 'jev', quoting @CompleteSkeptic on 'dark data' becoming analyzable as the price of intelligence drops. Posted in a plain, enthusiastic register.

jev is insane [exploding head emoji]

Here is Jev playing subway surfers at super human speed, and also playing 50 games at once.

cost less than a cent to do this run.

Jev does not replace llms like astra or fable, but opens up an entirely new world of capabilities.
