IMO humanity best shot would be having decision making in the hands of a small tightly connected group of ppl like lab heads (Dario, Demis, Shane, Altman, Musk, ..), researchers (Ilya, Russell, Bengio, ..), philosophers (Bostrom, Eliezer, ..), etc. Though this is infeasible now
